The Eyes of the Storm

by Billy Breceda

-The eye of the Storm is the calmest part
A gathering of randomly selected items
And the Natural selection in the death of people
No safe place to hide until the Storm ends
-But in the eye of the Storm,
The most beautiful things are calm.
The swaying seas of grass,
And the scattered islands of palm.
-The strangled sun chokes the clouds
Fighting the wind for control of the sky
Fighting silence and whispering winds
The end has yet to come, there goes the brief sigh.

-But in the eyes of Fury the scattered emotions break the calm.
The session of random feelings finding the right words,
And the attack of a Naturally selected person, turns to death in their eyes.
No safe place for them until the feelings become distant burns.
-But the eyes of Rage,
Look for a sedative of Beauty,
In the eyes of an Angel,
Not the eyes of a Tragedy.
-In the eye of the storm there may be no sign of end
The Natural selection and random cause has no norm
But in life, the feelings are various in intent and effect
Yet the rage can be calmed by the Beauty in the eyes of the Beholder,
The Beauty in the eyes of the Storm.
