How would you describe a clear sky to one with sightless eyes?
Sounds like a breeze whispering through the aspens
Feels like the surface of a stagnant pool
Tastes like a vanilla birthday cake

How would you describe the ringing of chimes to one who hears no sound?
Looks like a monarch butterfly's wings
Feels like quiet pride
Tastes like sun-kissed oranges
Smells like strong coffee

How would you describe the feeling of hope to one who's numb from the inside out?
Looks like a star through storm clouds
Sounds like a clear voice reverberating in a valley
Tastes like iced raspberry tea
Smells like dawn in a pine forest

How would you describe the taste of fresh strawberries to one without a tongue?
Looks like the sailor's favored sunset
Sounds like the ecstatic cry of an eagle
Feels like the satisfaction of achievement,
Smells like expensive perfume

How would you describe the aroma of wildflowers to one who cannot smell?
Looks like innocence in a child's eyes
Sounds like a flute dancing on the middle register
Feels like velvet moonlight
Tastes like sweet freedom

First, they hurt my brain
They take too long.

They make us do this,
I think it's wrong.

They make us suffer
To write things that rhyme.

They always say that
"Poems take time."

I wish I could change just one little thing
Like change the whole poem or give it some fling.

They make us do these till we're done...
And when we do they think they've won.

WAIT!! Take it all back...it wasn't all true,
I really mean it, really I do.

But poems are still boring they use too many words,
They're all around in my head flying like little birds.

But I really better go
I'm feeling too much rhyme
You know what...forget this poem...
It's taking too much time...
