Some Say

Some say it's like hoping for
something and never getting it.
Others say it's like breaking a promise that
meant the whole world to you.
I say it's like thinking you have your
whole life figured out, but then realizing
you're not even close.
Some say it's like when you put your trust
in someone to hold you up, then when you feel safe you let go and fall flat on your face.
Others say it's like loving someone so much that you forget the real, true meaning of love.
I say it's like having to realize you care enough for a friend to let them go out and
find who they are and what they want.
Then being kicked out of the picture. It hurts, but isn't that what life's about?
You at least know it won't last forever because time is like life, always passing.
