King Twoaryon was pacing in his room, pondering on what to do about the kingdom's chaos. He was a tall man with black hair, blue eyes, and a long scar along his smooth face. He was a king who ruled a part of what would now be called western England . This country was called "Rojazei' or 'Golden Flame'. No one knew why it was called that not even the old men of the land, but Twoaryon had more important questions to think about.

"This is the third time the trolls have raided a village this month!" Twoaryon yelled to deaf ears and kick a chair by his desk in a vain attempt to dispel his fury.

Rojazei had been attacked by trolls and giants over the past couple of months and these attacks were brutal, considering how dangerous trolls and giants already were. "Troll raids and giant assault" had destroyed whole villages.

The people were losing their trust in the king. Twoaryon knew he had to act soon or the kingdom would be lost! "But what should I do?" he said, like that would bring an answer out of nowhere. Even knights and armies had fallen to these monsters so there was little hope.

Then a short, gaunt messenger came bursting into the room, breathless but with a face showing pure joy. Twoaryon asked irritably "What is it?" Twoaryon had surprise on his face looking at the messenger's cheerful expression; he had not seen people look that way for a long time.

The messenger replied, "A wizard is at the castle gate telling us that he can help us!"

Twoaryon was stunned for a couple of seconds, wizards were very wise, powerful and rare. Twoaryon's face soon was as joyous as the messenger's. Twoaryon said "Let the wizard come in and bring him to my court so I may speak with him."

The messenger nodded and ran off to the castle gate, there was finally hope to defeat those nefarious beasts! Twoaryon ran through the castle and got into the court. He was already dressed in his best clothes so he sat down on his elegant throne chair and waited.

A couple of minutes later two guards came in and in between them was the wizard. He was tall, taller than Twoaryon by at least three inches. His beard stretched down to his knees and his hair was long and white as clouds. His eyes were blue and deep with wisdom. He carried a thin golden staff that was taller than him and at the top there was a silver moon.

Twoaryon told the guards to leave them. He then said to the wizard, "I have been told that you say you want to help us with our plight, is that so?"

The wizard grinned showing white teeth, which was unusual for a man his age. He replied, "Yes, I am here to help and also my name is Anarthrie. Perhaps you've heard of me?"

Twoaryon's eyes widened with amazement. He had heard of this wizard, it was said that he was stronger than any other in his craft and knew the secret to Rojazei's naming. Twoaryon blurted out involuntarily "Do you know the secret to Rojazei's naming?"

This request seemed fair enough because the lands naming was so mysterious that the clues they had were useless and no one knew the language in which the words were spoken. Anarthrie smiled and said, "I do know it and if I can help you, everyone will know why."

Twoaryon felt merrier than he had ever felt in his life. "Please help us and tell us the secret and then I will give you anything you desire."

Anarthrie said, "There is little that I desire but much that someone else does. This one I speak of wants freedom of movement, protection from others, the right to choose where he lives, and the right to be one of the highest advisors of your courts. Perhaps even higher than you in a way?"

Twoaryon didn't like the sound of these requests. He asked Anarthrie "Who is this man that you speak of?"

Anarthrie looked oddly secretive but replied plainly "he will reveal himself when the time is right. This will be more beneficial to you than you think and will have few dire aftereffects if any at all."

Twoaryon thought for a few minutes but then told Anarthrie "Fine, I will do that in return for your help if you really do end this problem. Be warned wizard, fail and you will suffer death by the cruelest means possible."

Anarthrie merely shrugged, looking confident. He then said "it will take me a week to get things ready and during that time I will be heading toward Evrais." Twoaryon was confused with this statement. Evrais was a large mountain to the eastern border of Rojazei and was an infamous one at that being a lonely place with tales of giant monsters inhabiting it.

"Why do you need to do this, can't you just fight the trolls and giants with spells?" asked Twoaryon.

Anarthrie said, "All will be explained in a week's time."

So Anarthrie left for Evrais and the kingdom waited for his help while defending themselves against the trolls and giants.

A week later the wizard was at the top of the mountain holding his staff high in the air. Here the clouds were not far off and the scene was extraordinarily beautiful.

Anarthrie then raised his staff and the silver moon on the top began glowing golden-orange so luminously that a man would have to squint to look anywhere near it. Anarthrie then cried out "I, Anarthrie, summon my friend, the defender of morality, immortal and undefeatable, the one who defiles greed with gold, my great friend-ROJAZEI!

The air around him began to glow and condense. Soon it was a huge silhouette made of golden light. It then became clear and there stood perched behind Anarthrie, a golden dragon. It was the size of a house with golden scales glimmering in the sun. He had no arms but had long talons, which pierced the rock he stood upon. His tail had black stripes at the end and was thin there as well. His neck had sails going down it that were nearly three feet high! His head was as large as a boar and with opaque black eyes he turned toward Anarthrie.

The dragon then stared into Anarthrie's eyes and said in a deep bellowing voice, "I, Rojazei, accept your summons and ask what have you found out, my friend?"

Anarthrie told him what the king had said and Rojazei nodded his head in agreement. The dragon then said, "I will do as King Twoaryon asks and then I will get what I want but will not harm the kingdom named after me nor its people."

Rojazei then lowered his head and Anarthrie got on him and held tightly to this scales. Rojazei then flew off toward the kingdom. After a few hours of incredibly rapid flying they came in sight of the kingdom. There were trolls and giants there but Rojazei attacked them. He clawed and burnt them with golden flames ybtuk every one of them was dead, the remaining population of these monsters surrendered and returned to their dwellings.

People cheered and celebrated honoring them and calling them "The Nobles Ones". The king then went to the wizard and said, "Thank you, I am forever in your debt. Now I give whoever that man you told me about what he wanted just as promised."

Twoaryon smiled feeling triumphant but then Anarthrie said, "I will introduce you to the dragon who now happily receives your gifts."

All was deathly silent and Twoaryon asked horrified, "You mean that this beast gets those rights?"

Rojazei turned toward him and growled, "Beast? I am wiser than any man, I saved you from certain doom, I taught Anarthrie his craft, and all I ask is for what this wizard had asked for me!"

Twoaryon thought about that and said, "I don't have any choice it appears. Fine, you will get what you want."

The people didn't like this but did not say it, fearing the dragon's wrath. Rojazei was pleased and the celebration continued. They soon found out that the people who were first here found him and he helped them. They named their country after him in gratitude. Then after awhile the people began to enjoy Rojazei's help in the king's court. He advised them for centuries and during that time all went well. Rojazei helped them in everything they did, politics, building, and war. This was a time of beauty and happiness and this strange occurrence made everything go right. The land of Rojazei then was a happy place from that day forward and centuries more. That is the end of my story and always remember, "What might be your greatest enemy could be your greatest friend."
